AERONET Instrument Troubleshooting Interface - Solutions for PARITY ERRORS Flag

Condition(s)
Check for one parity error in message and then flag the message. Flag if >4 messages per day (GOES) or >8 messages per day (METEOSAT/GMS)

How To Check/Test
Select appropriate Platform ID and find instrument here.

Solution Level 1 (< 5 minutes)
1. Check/reseat connections around transmitter.
2. Ensure that the transmitter is receiving adequate 12V power.
3. Ensure there are no obstructions in the antenna's field of view

Solution Level 2 (more involved)
1. Ensure antenna is oriented properly.
2. Evaluate transmitter LED indicator.

Solution Level 3 (last resort)
1. Repair or replace transmitter.
